Chana Masala — also known as chole — is one of the most beloved street and tiffin dishes in northern India. At Saanjh 24-7 we soak whole white chickpeas overnight, then simmer them with caramelised onions, ripe tomatoes, fresh ginger, green chilli, and a house chole masala until the chickpeas are creamy on the inside and perfectly coated.
It is naturally vegan, hearty enough to be a full meal, and pairs beautifully with bhature, kulcha, basmati rice, or a fresh tandoor naan. A favourite of our student and tiffin-subscription customers across Tyndall Park and Inkster Gardens.
